Nature of Work: This is a professional, technical, and managerial position within the bureau of capital planning & engineering.  Work involves directing the city’s traffic engineering & operations, transportation, and right-of-way permit activities as well as supervising staff, contractors, and additional collaborative or cross departmental teams.  This role will perform professional engineering work in planning, developing, programming, designing for the city.  It will also lead efforts in designing and implementing transportation/traffic engineering plans and capital improvement projects in compliance with city, state, federal regulations.  In addition, the role will review private development plans, assist in preparation of capital improvement budg
