Richmond District Traffic Engineering is seeking two detail-oriented individuals to review, design, and produce traffic engineering plans in an accurate and precise manner utilizing good engineering judgement within established budgets/schedules and in adherence to federal/state standards, guidelines and policies. You will assist District staff during the preliminary engineering phase of project development, as it pertains to traffic engineering issues/components; review projects in the field; attend preliminary engineering meetings; serve as subject matter expert representing Traffic Engineering; and research traffic volume data for capacity analyses used in developing traffic control plans and detours. Review, design, and draft signing and pavement marking plans and transportation management plans; provide advice to designers, consultants, permit personnel, inspectors, and other personnel in traffic engineering pertaining to traffic engineering issues; and provide extraordinary customer service.
