We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Government Relations team, preferably in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota office, however, persons located in the Des Moines or St. Paul area could have remote work considered. This position in highly independent and self-motivated.  

In this role you will be responsible for assisting with developing and implementing lobbying and grass roots efforts at the state level where Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) has a presence and could be impacted by legislative actions. You will play an active role in direct lobbying, encouraging grass roots engagement, legislative drafting, and as the customer energy needs continue to evolve, so too will your role. You will also assist in analyzing and addressing state regulatory matters that may impact MRES and its members.

State Legislative Representative Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or related field and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Juris Doctorate is preferred, but not required
• Active driver’s license as some travel will be required.
