Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Service Leader to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. The primary responsibilities for this position include partnering with the local market leaders to implement the division’s strategic plan and, business development and operations for the transportation service in a local office or market. This position is also responsible for the mentoring and development of the service staff in the local office. The Transportation Service Leader will work with the Division Service Leader and local market leaders to develop annual business plans and a strategy and vision for maximizing Westwood’s share of the local transportation market. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Division Service Leader/Regional Service Leader and local market leaders to:
• Develop and implement a strategic plan
• Advance service initiatives in the office
• Support the goals of the division
• Provide advice in hiring decisions
• Identify technical resource needs as it relates to the service groups
• Develop short- and long-term growth plans for the service
• Develop and implement standards for work products specific to the service such as design standards, reports, specifications, data files, etc.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and empowerment to the office service team
• Partner with local market leaders on project proposal efforts, for service-specific components
• Stay current on service-specific trends and drive value through innovation
• Implement, monitor, and maintain procedures and quality standards for the office service team
• Responsible for service-based workload coordination within the company
• Support market-based and/or service-based business development in the office by providing technical expertise and transportation revenue generation
• Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.

Required Skills:

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and use independent judgment
• Knowledge of the transportation service consulting business
• Experience developing and implementing marketing pursuit strategies
• Experience in operations and business practices
• Excellent technical and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with peers, clients, and public agency staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to follow directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Colorado (or capable of obtaining within 6 months)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the transportation engineering field
