Research Assistant Professor_Biomechanics
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor in the area of biomechanics and morphoelastic modeling. The appointee's primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team.  The appointee will also focus on developing an independent research program and funding streams with the potential to build a computational core facility. The research will involve using finite element analysis for solid mechanical modeling. Applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or related field, and 2) completed post-doctoral training prior to the start of employment.
