Cheatham and Associates, P.A. Consulting Engineers in beautiful Wilmington, NC is seeking a ME to design HVAC for K-12, Higher Ed Schools, Municipal Bldgs, Office Bldgs and more. This position is unique as it is hands on, from design, beginning at schematic phase, assisting the client through design and bidding, observing the project’s construction, to project completion and closeout.
Major Duties / Responsibilities:
Work with owners to design new or upgrading HVAC systems.
Establish project scope and project fees.
Provide Design Calculations for equipment sizing, ductwork sizing, ventilation, etc.
Design and prepare HVAC drawings and specifications.
Submittal review for HVAC equipment.
Provide site observations during the design and installation of HVAC systems and components and support the startup, testing, and balancing (TAB) activities.
Respond to Request for Information (RFIs) that arise during construction.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
Desired Experience with Autodesk Design Software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM)
Desired Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Trane Trace 700 or 3D
Hold a Professional Engineer license in the State of North Carolina (or in the process of pursuing a PE license)
