This position includes the opportunity to join our fast-growing Ohio market as a traffic engineer in a great work environment. The office location is preferred to be in the Dayton region (Springboro) but may be flexible (Columbus or Cleveland) depending upon the candidate’s skill set and their geographic preferences. The selected candidate will have demonstrated interests and relevant experience working on traffic engineering projects. CMT has an active traffic engineering workload with many DOT and local government clients and we are looking for the right person to help continue to provide innovative solutions to our clients and grow the practice. Future leadership opportunities are available. This is a position for an exceptional individual ready to learn and grow with guidance from experienced transportation engineers.

What we’re looking for:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited university
5 years of traffic engineering (studies or design) experience preferred or willingness to learn depending upon candidate’s skill set
Desire to develop creative solutions
Safety (HSM) analysis and report writing preferred
Knowledge of traffic analysis software packages ( i.e. Synchro, HCS, Transmodeler, Vissim), or interest to learn analytical tools
Strong communications skills and ability to work well with a team
Desire to develop professional network along with participation in professional organizations for continuous improvement of technical skills
Ability to lead projects is preferred
