This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) engineer who wishes to be part of our expanding team. The successful candidate will play an active role on multiple leading-edge technology projects in the Rocky Mountain region and serve a major design-build project, provide ITS and Traffic Engineering and planning services, and serve on other leading-edge technology projects in the Rocky Mountain region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve in lead role for preparation of studies, reports and PS&E packages for a variety of intelligent mobility infrastructure projects
Planning and design of transportation technology infrastructure
Develop Systems Engineering Documents and detailed technical requirements for ITS projects
Develop network plans for smart mobility communications
Take ownership of projects from start to finish
Perform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision
Interact with clients and serve as a technical lead in multi-disciplinary environments
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
Experience with CDOT, or other state DOT and local agency plan preparation procedures
Experience in the design-build work environment
Network engineering experience
Wireless and fiber optic communications engineering experience
Strong desire to apply emerging technologies to solve transportation challenges
Traffic engineering and traffic operations experience a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our clients’ overall project goals
Colorado Professional Engineer license and/or relevant technical certifications
