The City of Visalia Engineering Division is recruiting for Civil Engineer. This position will primarily be responsible for the management of capital improvement projects through the planning, environmental clearance/permitting, design, and construction support phases of assigned projects. A strong background in project development and delivery, budget and expense management, and management of broad based capital improvement projects is desired. This position may assist with private development engineering and water resources and/or wastewater/groundwater related capital improvement projects or other capital projects as necessary.
Four (4) years of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience.
Prior experience related to the project management of water resources and/or wastewater/groundwater related capital improvement projects in a municipal agency setting is desirable. Those lacking this experience are still encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a BS degree in civil engineering or related field.
Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California.
