About you. . ..
You’ll have a broad overview of technical mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, measurement systems, and conversions between various numbering methods
You are able to identify, select, and use metrology gauges and instruments
You can apply inspection processes using geometric dimensioning & tolerancing and traceability, as well as implementing testing methods such as destructive/nondestructive, functionality testing, and hardness testing
You are able to understand how to optimize quality assurance using basic statistics, statistical process control, and process capability analysis
You’ll have a comprehensive overview of quality audits, quality tools/techniques, and problem-solving tools such as plan-do-check-act, define-measure-analyze-improve-control, and failure mode and effects analysis

Experience using an ISO9001 or equivalent quality management system in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to use pc/MRP to enter and edit data and generate reports (will train)
Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions
Ability to build effective relationships with managers, peers, customers, and suppliers
Ability to use sometimes incomplete or inaccurate data and inquiry to create theories
Ability to test theories and generate conclusions based on data
Ability to initiate new procedures and process improvements
Power user of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Inspector preferred
