Current vacancy is the manager-in-charge of the Monitoring and Compliance Branch where the incumbent is responsible for administration of the Branch; for all of the sanitary, civil and ocean engineering work required to meet the Department, DOH, and EPA policies and regulations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Four years of registered professional engineering or architectural experience, including or supplemented by two years of related supervisory experience.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of supervision and administration; engineering principles, practices, concepts, theories, and precedents; laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, codes, policies, procedures and concepts applicable to the assigned area of responsibility; the different engineering specialties as they affect and relate to the functional area of responsibility; the latest technological advances in the functional area; methods, techniques, and practices used in procurement including the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, contracts, and reports; methods, techniques, and practices of contract management; sources of engineering information; and principles and practices of program and project funding; and the ability to plan, assign, evaluate, supervise and manage a major branch/program and its activities through subordinate supervisors; provide expert technical information and advice in the functional area; organize, execute, and coordinate assignments which are typically unique, complex and/or controversial; represent the organization and participate in high-level conferences and meetings; serve as a technical expert and resource in the functional area; prepare and justify budget requests; prepare administrative and technical reports and correspondence clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective relationships with subordinates, superiors, and representatives of community groups, other government agencies and industry and the general public; effectively address public meetings and groups.
