Responsible for maintaining and generating new sales through sales and technical service, problem solving, review of processes and equipment, explanation of value added products and relationship building. The position requires the individual to be familiar with Polynt and its products, services, features and benefits of product line. Responsible for day-to-day sales interface with customers. This role will cover the territory of Ohio, Indiana and Northern Kentucky and work from a home office.
Primary Accountabilities include:
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Develop and execute sales strategies by customer and territory aligned with overall business strategies.
Promotes and sells coatings and composites to current and potential customers.
Explains coatings and composites features and benefits to customers and sells them to enhance value of customer products.
Advises customers on best product for their application and how to best use it.
Negotiate price, terms, delivery, logistics, etc. with all current and potential customers.
Identify current and future industry needs and trends by developing and maintaining a network of contacts-establishing effective communications with appropriate managers and executives in the coatings/composites industry and communicate internally.
Distribute call reports and document significant updates or changes with customers, products and markets.
Manage expense budget.
Work with credit to ensure Accounts Receivables are current.
Participate in industry trade associations; preparing, exhibiting, presenting products or applications.
Coordinate new product development opportunities and criteria with Technology associates.
10-12 years of professional experience in similar position - proven achievements in a composites industry are required.
BS Degree – technical degree preferred.
Knowledge of composites industry (chemistries, applications, manufacturing processes and equipment).
Working knowledge of principles and methods involved in promoting and selling products – capability to prospect for, develop, close and maintain meaningful accounts aligned with business strategy.
Excellent presentation and communications skills – ability to persuade and influence others.
Exceptional customer service: ability to build professional relationship, understand the needs of clients and offer best solutions.
Working knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
Readiness to travel up to 50% - valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
Telecommuting is allowed.
